Deity comes from the eastern wisdom tradition, meaning celestial beings, in the Western tradition we call them angels and demons, what ever the word it is describing a being without physical form, yet having a consciousness. In a psychological context it relates
to the experience of conscious and unconscious emotions, perception, and thoughts, which through our the experience of the senses and intuition bring about change in our personality, and ultimately in our life.
It has mixed media when it comes to the textures,
the mandala behind the figure is a traditional painting,
I have yet to photograph it properly and submit to the gallery,
the ground is an aboriginal cave painting and the rest is program based.
I find 3D programs a good tool for pre-visualizing my ideas for paintings.
I think `BlueBlack's digital work manages to be every bit as personal as the most personal traditional stuff, for example; and I like it every bit as much-- I'm definitely not anti-digital. I have a bias towards traditional, just because I think it loans itself more readily to a personal kind of style... It wasn't until I came across pages and pages of digital work on dA that I got kind of numb to it-- whereas, the thousands of pages of traditional stuff I've found here has only made me love traditional stuff more.
Go figure!
It seems like having a good grasp on how the eye's see beauty and an active imagination, can make any medium appeal to the viewers sight and imagination also. I have a bias towards traditional art, because I also consider it to be more a personal style, as-well I think paintings in the flesh, have more of a natural relationship and feel with our sense of sight, perception, and memory. For me the digital process often restricts the flow of imagination, due to the rules of the various applications. All that said, I still really like some of the new advances in digital composition, and recently digital sculpture. I also think I analyze things to much sometimes, and I should use my energy to create more. lol

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. Traditional is harder to do,
takes more time,
but has more merit,
It gets me through the metamorphosis.
Got some good one's coming, hang on to your seat.
